I went with Mobil 1 at the first oil change on the Ram at 3000 miles.

Change to synthetic whenever you want. It doesn't matter when you change. I will change to Mobil1 5w20 Syn at 9000 miles. Only because my dealer did the 3000 and 6000 mile change for free

I went to Mobil 1 5-20 at 3 grand. (08 Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi MDS) I use it in all my vehicles. I always change to syn. at first oil change that comes when I buy them new and used.

first oil change was free from the dealer, so switched to synthetic mobile one at 6,000 miles.

i would have done it at 3,000 if done myself.
