When to begin using Synthetic Oil?
Guy's,
I just bought my first Dodge. I have always owned Fords. 4 of them, I am 29 y/o
2007 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 Laramie
I am wondering what you guy's know about when to begin using Synthetic Motor Oil? Also, why do you say what you are saying? Looking to see what you have heard or read on this subject...
One of the techs at the dealership I got the Rig from said to wait until 15K. Don't know if that is true or not???
I have always loved Fords, but this Hemi Ram is GREAT, so far... only have 112 miles on it as we speak. I also have a 2003 SVT Cobra Convertible to cruse in only the warm months up here in RI. It was 9 degrees today for a high!!
Thank you for your feedback in advance, and I look forward to seeing what kind of information you may be able to supply...

RE: When to begin using Synthetic Oil?
I switched over at 10k miles. I only waited that long cause i was doing traveling construction, so the oil got changed at the stealership while i was traveling.
I switched my GF's neon over at 30k, cause she bought it used, that is what it came with.
put the volvo on synthetic 1st oil change.
I use all amsoil oils and wix filters

RE: When to begin using Synthetic Oil?
NYPANAMA42, I work for a material handling dealer. We sell New and used warehouse equipment. I also own a seasonal business called Del's Lemonade up here in RI. I work my bins off for what I have, but it is worth it. I do realize I am very fortunate to have what I have, and I have a wonderful wife, and a 3 week old daughter
