Default Truck is broke need help!!!

hey guys, i have a 2003 hemi ram 4x4 qc and i am having some weird vibrations in it. while i am driving down the highway i notice a light vibration and then when i let off the gas there is a pretty harsh vibration fora few seconds until the rpms drop. also at speeds at about 160 the vibrating will pick up as im excelling.

would anybody be able to tell me what the problem could be. would it be in the tranny or the LSD. i haven't tried it doing it in 4hi to see if it still does it. the truck has 149000km on it incase that helps. thanks

If it was that muddy, you probably have some mud throwing the tire/axle/driveshaft off.

vibration could be caused by many things but theplaces I would look at first are ball joints, tire balance and driveshaft balance...

All of the above and also, you probably have a load of crap stuffed into the wheel spaces and the back of the wheelsas well.
This will and does, throw off wheel balance and cause excessive vibrations.

You NEED to do a lot of power washing and cleaning to get rid of all that dirt.
Then take her for a run and see if the problem is still there?

Al

P.S.

I have got to congratulate you, on the uniform distibution of dirt and crap across your truck.
At least your using a 4x4 as it should be used and it's NOT, a pavemaent princess!!!!

thanks for the help guys ill check on the smaller things first and hope it dont lead into anything major. i know my rotors are a little warped but i dont see why i would get such a harsh vibration once i let off the gas. i think it might be the u joints.

also i had to go through all that mud just to get in and out of my work location. probably didn't have to go that hard but it was sure fun when the whole truck was covered and absolutly no light comes into the cab.

Also check tyres for uneven wear, esp the front ones. Maybe even swap front to back and as somebody else said get them balenced.

ps (Wish my Mrs was as dirty as your truck)ha ha
