thanks guys, im still not sure if i want to go with the flowmaster 50, or a magnoflow!!!! Anyone have a magnoflow 3inch exhaust?
Yea I do..along with the front factory resonator because of the MDS. It has a good deepgrowl to it at part throttle so that you know it's there but it's not intrusive at all, and gets decentlyloud at WOT. Magnaflows also get a little louder as the packing material absorbs moisture and breaks in.

Flowmasters 50 HD almost made me change my mind about getting another magnaflow...but it was a little too loud for a DD.

Magnaflow out flows any flowmaster or any other chambered muffler...as does any straight-through muffler. Just thought i'd throw that in there just in case your spelling was suggesting otherwise.

Well DUH----JUST TURN UP THE STEREO.

SERIOUSLY---IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE THE EXHAUST SYSTEM ALONE, YOU MIGHT CONSIDER LINING THE FLOOR PAN AND PARTIAL SIDE WALLS OF THE CAB WITH DYNAMAT. IT WON'T KILL ALL THE DRONE BUT IT WILL DROP IT A LOT. IT'LL ALSO REDUCE THE OVERALL ROAD NOISE TOO.

I have the Super 40 and the only thing louder than my exhaust is the K&N 77 series intake under heavy throttle..... umm... that and the hum of the tires going down the road.

I have the magnaflow and it's family friendly. (Pics in my gallery) Just a little rumble in the cab when you get on it but very low tone at highway speeds.

So in otherwords you are a conceited *******? Gotcha.

I was under the impression people used vehicles, and consequently the motors that drive those vehicles, to perform work. Either the work of moving your body from point A to point B or for moving cargo from point A to point B(you know...like trucks are designed for.) If you paid $20-30k for a noise maker I could have saved you trouble by making a trip to Walmart and getting you a bullhorn for $10.

Loud pipes save lives on a motorcycle. I don't think getting bumped by granny's Buick is going to kill you when you are in a 5000lb vehicle.

Perhaps you should consider how annoying it is to people outside of the cab too...
I was gonna ask if you were joking....but after your latest post I guess you aren't.

I love loud trucks, I mean if your just doing it to be obnoxious then its annoying but if you have a nice system for performance and sound, thats what a V8 is all about.
