Why Hot Rod a Ram?

imnot sure about u guys but i have raced against 4 cylinders 6 cylinders and camaros mustanges and other trucks, and even with turbs the 4 cylinders r to slow to even eat my dust, the 6 cylinders are just as bad, and i beat stock 5.0s all the time, the only thing to ever beat me was a camaro ss. and he wants to say u cant hot rod a truck.

I just caught this -- you mean to say that a 4.7 liter Dakota feels fast to you but the Ram doesn't? Single cab 5spd or not, I promise I wouldn't be afraid to run a Dakota equipped like that in my bigass 4x4 quad cab. One barely was able to pull ahead of my wheezing TBI 350 GMC truck, also a 4x4 extd cab - all 210 hp of it.
I really think you're pulling our chains anyway. How can we rationally debate anyone who claims their Tempo is faster than an SRT-10?

You're outrunning turbo cars in your basically stock Hemi truck? Something must be wrong with them then. Not since the 80s have turbo cars not run at least 14s in the quarter. You'd be totally shocked at my Subaru family sedan, and I don't mean a WRX!

I am not trying to argue, what I am trying to say isdrive Rams and various other trucks everyday at work, some with a lot of modifications. None of them have that kick you in the seat of your pants feel that my Dakota or my SRT-4 had stock, they are just too heavy. I am not saying you couldn't hook bumpers and pull either one of those vehicles all over the place with the Ram, It just seems to me if you wanted a Hot Rod you could purchase a vehicle that would require a lot less modification or none at all (Charger R/T) to haul ***.
by the way, I used to eat SRT-10 1500s for lunch in my moms Ford Tempo

The only way your tempo would be able to keep up with my 2500HD Ram QC Long box would be hooked up to my truck with a chain, but when I do press on the gas, the front end of your tempo migth be the only thing left on the chain. By the way, I think the only thing you do drive is the remote control cars. I'm not bashing your tempo but don't think that its a fast car.
