RE: Fuel Consumption
It is worth noting
that the new 2009 Ram
has 72 pages of modifications
http://www.turbodieselregister.com/2...99f4f195368022
about how the MPG has been slightly increased
...and yet it does not have an aftermarket style cold air intake!
Gosh, those Chrysler guys must be fools !
NOT
But they did improve the aerodynamics of the Ram body with tweaks
increased the compression ratio of the pistons
and even tightened the gaps around the headlights and fog lights.
These types of 'real MPG improving' mods
which are also heavily used in the
GMT900 pickups designed by ex-Chrysler VP Bob Lutz,
and in the Toyota Tundra
are discussed in this long read:

RE: Fuel Consumption
I am shocked you get 12, I have a 08 QC4.7L and getanywhere from 11.6 to 14.1, I am really mad at myself for not getting the HEMI. But i wanted the possibility to put ethanol in the tank. I paid $2.58 a gallon the other day and was able to fill the truck up for $49.18. My 06 Hemi i never filled up for that cheap. So i guess it's all relative.
