When you dynamat/flectamat/fatmat the floor, does the carpeting re-install easily and without being deformed? How thick is the matting? Thanks.

Yea....the carpet is formed to the floor, but I did not run into any problems in getting it to sit back down and be secure. It is just like it was before I removed it. It did not take long either. The matting is 50-100mm thick, depending on which brand you buy. Not enough to make any noticable difference anywhere visually, but enough to make a VERY drastic difference in the road noise and resonance.

My buddy brought his 02 over, and we had them side by side. I knocked on my door, then on his. Mine made a nice, dead thud....his sounded like a sardine can. It is REALLY worth it, especially since you can get 100sqft off of ebayfor about $100(which is enough to do the entire truck and lay extra in trouble spots, like the doors)

Hey Lash,
I hope your friend helped you clean up all the dust in your garage. Also, doesnt the amp get hot being stuck in that little hole with all that carpet around?, Mine is not even in a box and heats up fast, it shuts off at high volume.

I Know There Are More Systems Out There On DF. I See The Discription In Your Signatures! Don't Be Shy. And If Your Scared You'll Get Bashed.. Well Thats A Risk Worth Taking. Good Criticizm Is Always A Good Thing.

Even If It's Just A Navi and/or New Speakers.

Hammer How About You. Show Us Youngins' How A Real System Looks!?!

It's probably clipping. Learn how to properly adjust an amp with a DMM.

Thanks Lash.... I was looking for something along those lines earlier this morning when I read that post. It definitely sounds like a clipping/protect issue.
