Any good name brand intake that replaces everything from the throttle body to the filter would be fine. I'm seeing reports of really good gains with the SCT tuner for the '02 4.7, really superior to anybody else's product, at least on paper...

trueflow makes a good intake. I have the XDI in my 2005 quad cab. And as far as performance chips, any name brand like superchips, SCT, Bullydog etc will be sufficient

If you get a True Flow, you'd have to opt for the Sealed Intake. They don't make an XDI for the '02 4.7L

I was going to get the SCT for my truck butI was quoted$650 for the tuner + tune. Since I'm not planning on any further performance mods (actually, my dad forbid me to buy any more[sm=boohoo.gif]) The Superchip was really all I needed. The truck is noticeably quicker and I paid $250 less than what I would have for the SCT. Had I not insisted on buying new, I could have probably picked up the Superchip for $200 (as opposed to the $400 I spent on it) on ebay.

K&N makes a really good CAI (although it really isnt any better or worse than True Flow, Volant, etc)

yeah for the most part all air intakes are the same...they are there more for looks than anything. but they do tend to help increase some low end torque and give ur truck a few more hp...K&N does make an awesome intake.
