Default cliff notes for a 3rd gen

I havent been on the site for a while. I currently own a a 1995 ram but I just bought a 2004 ram 2500 4x4 four doorwith a hemi. It has just under a 100,000 miles. I know its a lot of miles. I bought it at auction for $7,000. I had my mechanic go over it and he says its in fantastic shape. I talked to the previous owner (I talked to him after Ipayed for it so i dont think he would bullsh** me) and he said it was 90 percent highway miles. So i think i got a pretty good deal. I also got the service records and it was well taken care of. So my question is...what are the quirks of the 3rd generation ram...anything I need to look for or should be aware of? im trying to get up to speed on the 3rd gen rams. And you guys are the best source for ram information on the internet. Any help appreciated and thanx in advance.

Also: in the glovebox it lists for the transmission: "ALL 5 SPD" Is that an allison 5speed tranny?

not much differnce ...well there is differnece obviously but nothin to look for. and ya congrats man. Proud new owner of a Hemi. i guess the only thing to look out for is the power...you dont know your strength in that thing. lol but ya my ram is an '04 but it has the V8. and 47K miles on it and i got it for 16500. but for a hemi..it should last you a long time and it sounds like a good deal.
