Ok last time! Please only professionals! Muffler inlet size
wow this is my 4th thread and I still cant get a strait answer. So far I have gotten three completely different answers on what inlet size flowmaster 40 I need for my single stock exaust. Now I am not saying anyones wrong who posted for me but I keep seeming to get different answers ... One said I need a single in single out 2.5 inlet and 2.5 outlet...Another says I need a single in single out 3" inlet and 3" outlet...and to top it off someone told me a 3" inlet and 2.5" outlet
PLEASEEEEEE LOL This newb just wants a muffler dont make me kill myself lol

Well find out for yourself by using a tape measure or Caliper for seeing whats what then. Im thinkin 2 1/2 though but double check with one of the tools I mentioned.
i have an 06 and my stock exhaust tubing was 3 inch. i got a flowmaster 40 series installed 3 in and dual 2.5s out. are you doing si/do? if so i would measure the stock piping just before the stock muffler ( dpont get confused with the resonators you should have 2 one before and one after the muffler) if its 3 inch in i would do 3 inch out if single outlet and 2.5 if dual outlets. you would have had your answer already if you just measured it yourself. unless dodge changed exhaust tubing size from 05 to 06 then i would think it would be the same. already you have a few different answers again.

ok i have a freind with the 05 and he said his was 3 inch inlet/outlet stock and now he has magnaflow 3 inch in dual 2.5s out just like me.
if you are installing the muffler by a professional at a muffler shop, it doesn't matter what size you get as long as you got a bigger size than what you have. b/c a muffler shop can adjust a pipe to a size. Trust me i used to hang out at a muffler shop when i was younger.
