I might know where there is a nice slightly used red quad cab SRT-10 for sale...That is if you don't see one at your dealer...

I once ready that diesels need to warm up more and don't fair well when only making short trips. They really are work horses.

This might be a good question for Drew in the CTD section too.

Is that why they're left running so much? I've noticed UPS shuts theirs off and restarts after the delivery stop.

The newer diesels are not really like that anymore.

maybe that settlement check should go in the bank!

Just my 2 cents..not being rude
I was gonna leave this alone, but I'd have to vote for this as well. Just my $0.02. Does that make $0.04?

i say for short trips, around town etc. get a cummins. a few mods and it will have crazy power and good streetability.

I love srt10's, but i wouldn't wanna drive it everyday.

The guy who's shop is to the right of my dad's had an SRT-10 RC for a while that he used as a DD. I only got 1 ride in it but I shall never forget those 10 minutes. He sold it a few months later because it was absolute rubbish in the rain/snow. The guy who's shop is to the left of my dad's has a 2nd gen 2500 CTD with some Banks stuff done to it. The truck is still running strong at over 250k miles (That guy also owns a yellow SRT8 Charger).

Since you still have the 1500, I'd get the SRT. I wouldn't have a problem with driving the SRT daily and for bad weather, theres always the other truck.

Not to really make it confusing, but if you do not intend to really use it as a truck how about a 09 Challenger SRT?

I was hellbent on buying a CTD. I really really wanted one, then when i looked around i found my bran new 07 hemi at a great price, and with a Lifetime bumper to bumper waranty. i was happy with the purchase, but still wasnt sure i make the right choice untill i stompped on the pedal. That thing has some power now.

As for the mod on the CTD, banks makes the big hoss bundle. its like 3000 - 4000 dollars, but it adds like 124hp and like 100ft lb of tourque. I would think you need to get a new tourque converter if you get all that however.
