2500 with lift and 37s hemi, pull good?
well i want to get a 2500. Either a 04-05(maybe 03). I would love to get a diesel but I cant afford the extra $5000 it is...
so can a Hemi pull 37's down the road good? what about with a 6000# trailer?
thanks!

Yeah, it can pull the tires, with gears. and it can pull the trailer......both at the same time is another story. You gonna want at least 4.56's for gears, and i wouldn't plan on towing fast, or making it far between fuel stops.
I pull a trailer that heavy with my hemi, no problems at alll, but i run the stock 32.5's with 3.92's. I get 9.5-12mpg pulling the trailer.
IMO, go with 33's or 35's if your gonna pull alot.

If you're thinking 37's AND pulling a 6000 lb. trailer you need to be thinking CTD or you're just not thinking...
As far as the 37's alone, you'd be fine, especially if, as stated, you swap to 4.56 gears...

The towing does not happen too often but in the summer. I tow the trailer for when we go to motocross races...
I was using 6000# for a "at very most" towing. The trailer we use is about 16ft. loaded with 4 bikes and 2 atvs, I am guessing that is around 3-4000#... My v6 tows it alright. I can stay on the highway and do about 75mph pretty easy. As long as a HEMI can pull the same with the lift and tires i'll be ok!
I would love to get a diesel but my dad refuses on getting one now(even though he NEEDS it for his business). So I told him I would buy a gas truck, but it can't be his work truck at all.(one day I walked out and he had somewhere around 8000# of bricks hooked to my truck... that wasn't gunna work)
So the main thing is can a 2500 Hemi with a 6in lift and 37's pull that much?
And in looking at a used truck how many miles is too much on a hemi?

I like the look of 6in with 37s.
I could go down to 4in and 35s... To me thats just another lifted truck though.
TD, how much power do you have left over on those 35s? pulled any trailers yet?
