you will need the computer from the dakota new everything, new tranny. Its not worth it to do the swap, you would be better blowing up the 3.7 and dropping a chevy 350 in it.

Because there are 350's readily available for a lot cheaper and you can get a cheaper transmission that would bolt up from a late model chevy and it would cost you a lot less. Because 5.7 hemi is really expensive to buy with everything you would need. The 350 isn't run with a comp so you wouldn't need to re wire everything.
