Default superchargers/turbochargers

I know this may sound extremely stupid, but to all my fellow 3.7L owners, have any of you all thought about supercharging or turbocharging ur engines to boost up some more power to the ground? I want to see if there is ANY company out there that could make a supercharger for our smaller engines...Does anyone happen to know if there is such a company?

its been brought up before. i havent seen a company that makes one specifically for our truck, but there was one company that made a universal system or something. and im sure you could talk to a local shop and they could probably make you one custom, but its not going to be cheap.

Looked It to it already It's not worth it the Turbo kit from STS is $5000.00 Then you have to find someone to redo you Computer System good luck on that a lone you have to put new pistons and ringsin the motor the stock one will not hold up.

And as long as you are in the Motor mite as well do it right balance it nut to nut put some good Rods good rod bolts to handle the RPM's, Long skirt pistons,Good crank bolts bolts for the added power and RPM's, in it Ect more money.

Oh yea you also could have the heads ported bigger vavles.

Kenny Bell made a Super Charger Kit for the 3.7 but they pulled it off the market #1 didn"t sell enought of Them and #2 the motors were breaking down pistons were breaking at the Ring Land area not enough meat in the area for that much pressure.

And now will the trans hold up after all that work, More money and time.

yeah i figured as much...if the STS turbo kit is 5000, I'd be better off just swapping engines up to a 5.7L hemi...

Well as I look at it you be better off trading it for anouther truck.

The $5000.00 is just for the turbo kit add anouther $3000.00 for the engine mods machining, And getting the computer set up.

you will need the computer from the dakota new everything, new tranny. Its not worth it to do the swap, you would be better blowing up the 3.7 and dropping a chevy 350 in it.
