It depends which you prefer. They do the same thing. I love my k&n, as I know others do as well, and there are plenty on these boards that love the XDI. Honestly, pick which one you think looks the best and go with it.

I don't think there is a measurable difference between any of the name brand ones to be honest. I bought the K&N because I've been using their drop in filters for years and trust them. But the biggest reason is that I have a friend whose step-father owns tire stores order them at cost for me when I was there doing some network work for him. His distributor only carried K&N and Airaid, so I got the K&N for under $220 delivered. Couldn't beat it...
i just want to see what peopel had to say about both of them. i was thinking of going with the k&n any way but i heard some say something about the true flow and just want to know what people thoought about it.

I have the XDI. As hammer said, the intakes dont exactly do a whole lot but just gussy up the engine more...I mean i noticed a pretty decent increase in my low end torque...but other than that nothing too significant

hey hammer, was that k&n hard to install? i heard some people say you need to take off the fender wall to mount it. unless thats a different kind, it doesnt look like you needed to on yours
