Thats Why I Have an Oil Prssure Guage.. It Reminds Me It's Time!
OK, I'll bite. How does a pressure gauge tell you it's oil change time? I use Excel (to tell me when it was last done).

Thats Crazy, I Use Excel Everyday and Would Never Create A Need For It In My Personal Life.. LoL

I Notice The Pressure Drops When It's Time. I Don't Solely Rely On That. I Just Forget To Look At The Sticker On My Winshield, But Always Check My Guages. So If I Ever See The Oil PressureLower (Than Normal)When The Rest Of The Truck Is Heated Up.. I Finally Glance At The Sticker and See If It's Near Due.

I Always Take It In Before It's Due.. It's My Way of "Letting My Truck" Decide When It's Time For an Oil Change. It's Not A Method Someone Can Just Learn One Day, It's How I Been Doing It For 6 Years Now.

My Jeep Had Over 200K Ran Like It Was New, And My Porsche 944 N/A Ran for 195K Before I Sold It.

I used to use the pressure drop method. Don't wait that long any more. Don't "take it in" either. When it gets done, it's every 3K, by the only person who cares about it: Me. No minimum wage wrench-puller's gonna touch my baby.

I run PML diff covers and like 'em. I got them because of the drain plug, they look cool (have always admired guys rigs with cool diff covers), were different than Mag-Hytec (which are excellent, just everybody in my area has them), and maybe they'd keep my brand new gears a tad cooler....pretty much in that order

As far as the tranny pan I have no doubt the PML unit is great quality, but unless you tow allot or just want a cool pan the temp gauge route is probably a good idea as well.

RedRam: I would do the dual and put one to the tranny and one to the rear diff, but at almost 41, with 2 years of college football, almost 4 seasons of minor league baseball (as a catcher, no less) and countless seasons of semi-pro ball. One back operation, two knee operations and various other aches and pains, plus I have a lifted truck. Believe me when I say - I NEED THE FRIGGIN' GRAB RAIL!!!

Get you the pretty replacement drivers side pillar with the temp gauge. Run it to the tranny and monitor the temp. If the fluid don't ever get too hot, you'd be wasting you money on a cover that nobody will ever see, except the guy who changes your oil.
The pillar/gauge setup will look cool as hell and is not expensive at all.

Besides, why you need a higher fluid capacity tranny, I hear you never leave your house...

Ah, Mr. Funny guy.....A new year, with new jokes.........lol
