Sir Hardin Thicke , If you fall behind on your house and the bank takes your house are you going to live in your truck... or would you sell it to get the cash to get back on your feet. SobomasterIf you are going to pay it off in one year then why not pay cash? 1 years worth of tax deductions on $40000 is almost nothing.

Like I said in the first place Finish school ,get a good job ,buy a house, buy a car. Do not live above your means. eltupacand mfs212has nailed everything right on.

I'm smart enough to know what I can and can't afford. That's why my credit rating is above 750 and the equity in my house is more than 75%. I also would never buy new. Paying $40k for any vehicle is just stupid.

Hey guys so I get a call today from the finance guy and he said that he needed a co-signer. I said no, that I didn't have one. He told me well let me get back to you then, I then told him that I was fed up and was on my way to return the truck. He then said, wait until I can talk to my manager and I will call you back in 30 min. Well, I said to hell with that and went down there. When the finance guy saw me he had that "uh oh" look in his face. I told him that Im fed up and wanted to get my trade and my downpayment back. He then goes and talks to his mananger while I wait outside. The finance guy comes out and said, "my manager said to wait till monday, hes going to call someone he knows at chrysler financial and get you approved." I said NO, I want my car back and you can take the truck back. He said well go talk to the manager and see what he can do. I talk to the mananger "steve" and he said "oh dont worry, im going to call chrysler and work everything out, I have a connection in the finance dept." I said that I want to return my truck and he said No, because he would lose a lot of money. I then stated that I would not sign another contract and that the only way im keeping the truck is if the terms are the same. He said to give him till monday and call him back and I made sure I told him that he better make what ever connection he has pull something off because I aint signing any other contract. So I guess we will see what happens. Im so pissed off and they wont return the car to me or get take the truck back.

If it doesn't work out, then think of it as an extened test drive or a free rental.... There is a bright side to this I guess.

Yep..............keep that firm but assertive attitude up!
They're shi**in' their pants about this and don't want to lose a lot of money!
Plus, they've probably disposed of your trade in already and made money on that as well.
Don't give them the chance to make even more from you by screwin' you over with all this hassel over the finnancing.
Remember, don't approach this with the title to this thread of "I might lose my baby". These guys like sharks on a feeding frenzy, will smell that on you a mile away.
Good luck bro'.
Al.

Espo,

Please don't take this as condescending but ' Good friggin job!' Don't back down now - your car is long gone at the monthly auctions or sales. Something to keep in mind is don't burn the bridge on the way out the door. They may not be the only Dodge dealer in the area but think of where you may need to go when you need; parts, services, recalls and such.

GODD LUCK!
