Default I might lose my baby :(

Well guys, here is my story. On the 17th I purchased my 07 Ram. On the application I stated that I was working two jobs, which at the time I technically still did. About 2 days later after I put in my two weeks notice with my employer because I am starting school soon and can’t work two jobs. Well yesterday I get a call from Capital One (which at the dealership I was told I was pre-approved by Chrysler financial) and they told me that they needed to get proof of employment from my second job, I said OK and gave him the corporate number. Well today I get a call from the financial dept at the dealership and he told me that Capital One denied me because the corporate office faxed him back saying I no longer work there. The financial guy said he’s going to work his hardest to find me another bank, but the problem is that my credit is not too great and if I do get approved my payments will be a lot higher. He’s going to get back to me next week but it’s going to be so hard because I don’t know if I am going to be able to keep my baby.

Thanks for reading.

- Steve

Ok, listen very carefully. Go to the website www.carbuyingtips.com and look through there scam section. One of the latest and greatest scams dealerships are running is the, "oh, your financing fell through but we got it through another company just at a higher rate." scam. If they told you Chrysler pre-approved you then there should be no need to go to capitol one in the first place. They are trying to screw you because your credit report shows you as having bad credit and they figure you will take what they offer. Look at the site, you can learn alot there.

Man, I am so sorry to read what you are going through. Definitely take Chief's advice!! Good luck to you. Out of curiosity, I did a search and found this site also.

http://consumer-law.lawyers.com/Vehi...ing-Scams.html

I had to hand type that so if copying and pasting doesnt work, go to Yahoo and type in 'vehicle financing scams'. The first two options are in a highlighted area, the next option is the one I went to.

Did you walk out of the door with the papers that said what your interest rate and loan details were? If your answer is yes, and me being cautious, I wouldnt let them have those papers back, dont even let them look at them.

Keep us updated on how things go. Best of luck to you!!

WOW................talk about STEALERSHIPS[:@]
That's one heck of a scam if they're doing that.
Don't you have some kind of financial regulating body, that looks out for stuff like that in the US?
If so, bring them onboard and help yourself and others by stopping this sort of crap.
It's hard earned money by the sweat of our brows they are taking away here, the scum!
Good luck and keep positive.
Keep us posted.
Al.

When I Bought My First Truck Through Chrysler Financial I Had Absolutely NO Credit, Zip Zero None! They Still Approved Me. Weirds Me Out That They Pawned You Off On Capitol One..

I Know When A mortgage Loan Is Applied You might Get Approved But Handed off To Two or Three Companies Before Someone Will Take You..

I Am Sorry To Hear That, Just Shows The Mercy That People Fall Into With These Large Companies - To Them Your Just One Number!

Sincerely! Good Luck

Igot setup throughCapital One on my new truck because of the lower rate... I took the $6000 cash instead of 0%, so I think Chrysler was around 8 or 9% and Capital One was 6.09% which is still better than the 0% without the $6000 by FAR... and I have excellent credit.

DID YOU SIGN THE PAPERS? IF SO, YOU OWN THE TRUCK AND at least in michigan, IT's THE DEALER's PROBLEM. Get a lawyer since I believe that you are getting scammed. ALSO PROOF OF EMPLOYMENT WOULD BE A CHECK STUB DATED TO COVER WHEN YOU BOUGHT THE RAM. if you have that it will be fine...

sorry for shouting but I wanted him to see this
