I've read that the 07's have the 70.00 adapter needed to get a switched power supply. Does anyone know if an adapter for 06 will work if I run a separate switched power supply. Will the adapters for 06 and 07 be the same size? I'd much rather spend 5 bucks than 70 and run a few more wires.

yes 06-07 ram 1500 are the same,
get the cheap harness and /l
tap your switched 12v+ off of the switched lighter outlet
unless your adding a in dash nav, then buy the adapter
it has vss and rev as well as the acc wire

g/l
