my sis-in-law's boyfriend, who is also a cop, renewed his insurance and it jumped 300 dollars a year. he said they told him it is because the ram is the number one stolen truck right now, anyone else heard this. don't know who he is insured with, but i gotta renew on monday and am not looking forward to a price jump, hell i just had some stuff come off of my record and was looking forward to seeing a little break!
I believe it...a buddy at work had his ram stolen awhile back. The insurance even tried to screw him over saying it's near impossible to steal a ram without a key...which we all know is BS.

I'd like to know how any vehicle with a transponder system gets stolen without a key. It's built into the ECM; you can't bypass it with brute force or jumper wires. You either have a copy of the key, or somebody left a key in the truck.

think what you want, but fact is a lot of rams are stolen. and a lot of people have had theirs start with the wrong key. I know the broshure sounds nice and safe, but fact is fact.

i would guess the caddy truck is more expensive too, i just stated his insurance went up. i dunno i lock my doors everywhere i leave it. i keep the key in my pocket and my wife keeps track of hers, so if someone gets my truck it won't be with one of our keys, i hope. i don't buy that crap about not being able to steal it. a thief will find a way.

Whats a Ravelco? another form of lojack?
Ravelco is mechanical anti-theft device. It has a 16 pin male plug that when removed will not allow the vehicle to start. It is the only system that has never been defeated. Better to prevent it from being stolen, then track it after its gone. And yes, I have one. www.ravelco.com
