I tried to put Infinity Kappa 6x9's in the front doors and they didn't fit.

I tried the same speakers in the front, Stratusguy02! I ended up throwing alpines in the front and infinity's in the back. They sound like ****. I'm removing them as soon as I can get BostonAccoustic..

Also, forgot to add. I don't have them amp'd, prolly the reason for the sound. I tried to obtain the sound of the factory infinity's, that come stock on the laramie. They sound awsome imho!

hmmm, so should I try some pioneer 4 ways from walmart?? They are only like 70 bucks, but hopefully I get the loud sound I want. I REALLY wanted some boston acoustics 6x9's...the cheaper model of them that go for $130, but crutchfield says it won't fit and there's only like 5 6x9 speakers that will fit.....I might just go check out circuit city and hear what I think sounds the best and maybe get something. I just want something with very low bass(enough to be heard but no distortion) and very loud treble...I listen to a lot of metal and alternative. Many choices, many different prices, but hard to pick

alot of 6x9s wont fit because of the magnent on the back of the speaker, i'm sure a 5x7 will work just fine for what you want since your not looking for bass your looking for highs, boston acoustic is really nice, i still enjoy my infinity's but everyone has their own taste but a 5x7 will fit were the 6x9 was and you may also try to put 3 1/2s in your dash to give you the extra treble(highs)

also it doesn't matter if you get them from walmart circuit city best buy or where ever else it doesn't make a difference i would go with the cheapest place i can find they are all that same speakers made by the same company just sold in different locations so i say if you looking for the pioneers then go for it.

so any 5x7's will fit where the 6x9's are?????? hmm, I'm going to see if the boston acoustics ahve that size from that same speaker....will it sound pretty good and loud???? Won't there be large uncovered areas when I put those in the front though?? WIll that effect the sound in anyway???
