Hypertech problem
I ordered a Hypertech Power Programmer III from a dealer around here. When it came in, it ended up being a E-CON programmer (this is not by any chance Hypertechs fault, its the dealers). Well i called up Hypertech and asked them to send out an upgrade to make it the Max Power programmer. Well, they were going to charge me $100 for the upgrade but once i explained the mess up on the order, they let me go with only charging me $25,
After all was said and paid for they told me it would take an hour for them to flag an upgrade, in which they would call me back. Well, after an hour an a half passed byI called them back up to ask them how long it should take. After the guy got ahold of there engineer he told me it would take about an hour for them to send it out and that he would give me a call back.... About 3 hours later i got the call saying that it was ready to be upgraded.
Well, I just had my lunch brake from work in which I went out to program my truck. I set the speed limit to 255 MPH (it had a 118, 128, 147, and some others all the way up to 225), set it for 93 octane, set the RPM limiter +500 (goes up/down in 100's), firmer shifts. It said i could calibrate my speed-o to when i called them... well it didnt have that on there.
I took it out for a spin and it shifted at 5600 (stock shift point) and did not notice an difference in shift firmness (i have done the #10 pin mod but pluged it back in before i programed).
Has anyone else had this problem with the program not working at all? I am going to call up hypertech again tomorrow to figure out what the hell is going on, but i figured i would get some insight from you all.
