Hey everyone,
I am dealing with the issue of a new truck for some time now. The end result is between the Tundra and Ram 2500 long bed 4x4. I am just so dammm confused as to what to do. First of all I have never owned an American car/truck and that alone makes me nervous in terms of long trem quality, etc. I am a person who tends to keep cars/trucks for as long as possible, so I want something that will still be good after 200,000 miles (like my 1995 Pathfinder).

I here horror stories about rattles, and little things with the domestic products, true ? Secondly I don't actually need the Ram, but I do like it; I am a teacher not a contractor, etc. I know that I could have the Ram for a cheaper price, but is it worth paying less up front, and more money in the long run? The Tundra is also a great truck. Please help me out.........

Get a Honda.

 

Just drive them both and you will see the difference. Nothing against Toyota,but it does not compare to the Dodge

 

if you really want a vehicle to last that long. get the 2500, with a CUMMINS, it will out last any european/jap/any make of car out there.

I would be going with the Hemi, the Cummins is not in my price range.

You should try for a used cummins really. it will out last both the hemi and the tundra. Lets face the facts. Your not gonna get 200k out of a hemi, and your sure as hell not getting it out of an i force in a tundra.

200k is easily done in a diesel.

 

All joking aside, Tundras have a lot of recalls. That should tell you everything right there.

 

Drive them both, I was a Chevy man before I drove the Ram. No other truck drives like a Ram, I even turned a buddy of mine. He could not resist after he drove one. Also with the lifetime powertrain warrenty you really can't go wrong IMHO.

 

I drove both and I bought the Ram I guess it's really up to you.
