I don't mean to rain on your parade, but the overhead lies 95% of the time. Hand-calculating your mileage is the only reliable way.

My buddy has a 2001 Chrysler car and its roof display has all the features mine has and also has current MPG. My truck has just the average. Is there a MOD or some sort of reprogram to get the current as well as average MPG?

if you want to know the current MPG
without resetting the Average
you can watch how many miles
to click over 1 gallon of gasoline.
For example,
What I mean is
if you click the buttons and find that
the mileage since reset is 210
and the gallons is 12.2
then stay on gallons until it goes to 13.2
and then go back to mileage....
if it has gone up...to say 230 miles
then your current MPG is
(230-210)/(13.2-12.2)
or simply
20/1.0
or 20 MPG
By watching how many miles you go on 1 gallon
you get a easy to figure "current" MPG
