what did u pay for your new ram???
i currently own a 2001 f150 super cap which i love..but with another kid on the way it's time to upgrade to a 4 door
i am looking at the supercrew f150, 4 door tundra, and ram..i heard the ram can be purchsed for up to 10k under the stick price is this true??????????
also would u recommend a new ram as a dailey driver and also to tow a 5,000 lb race car/trailer ????
have u been satisfied with it so far ?????
thanks

Here is my PERSONAL .02. I Love my Ram. It has plenty of room in the cab for 2 carseats, and a person in the center. (of the back). I tow a Parker Performance 26' steel trailer 3000# empty, with my 56 Chevy,or 35 Ford on it weighs WELL over 5000#. I pull it with ease. I'm 100% satisfied with my Ram.
My stands on Ford are so so, Family members ave owned them with no problems. I personally would get a ford before i'd get a toyota.
The toyota is build on a C Frame, and though has a "higher" rated engine, is not quite as good as a ram. (IMO) Dodge answered this by making the 2009 HEMI comparable in ratings. I have a simple feel on this. Dodge, Ford, and Chevy have been making trucks LONG before these importers did. They have more experience, and testing behind there designes and engines.
Simple Synopsys: Love my ram, would only trade it for another ram. Never had any major problems in 40k miles. Plenty of room for a family of 5. I have towed my trailer back and forth between Phoenix, AZ and Orlando FL. Total of over 20,000 pulling 5000#+. My only problem... Gas Milage.... I averaged 12MPG. I'm looking into a CTD right now. But that is another story.
These are my opinions.... Take it for what it's worth.
OH on your other point. Dodge has $6000 rebate on 2008 1500 QC's. You can usualy talk down the price by a couple thousand, so a combined total of 10K off the sticker is feesable if your a good negotiator. I bought mine for 26K new (80miles on it) sticker was 35k. and I was 4K upside down on my trade. total loan was for 28600.
OH BTW.... Find another Auto maker offering "LIFETIME powertrain Warranty"....

06 dodge ram with 5.7 hemi loaded. sticker 36k, paid 26k
wouldn't buy another truck, i love my ram, and the hemi. haven't towed much.
towed a big work trailer with probably 7' walls, filled with cylnder blocks.. couldn't tell you the weight, but it was filled to the top with em'
pulled it good, very surprised.

'08 Laramie with pretty much every option.
$40k Sticker, paid $31k plus tax, tag, title.
My old truck is a 1990 Dakota that still runs pretty good when it wants too. Hopefully this new one will last 18+ years as well.

07 Quadcab Hemi mds Thunder Road with sirius bedliner and nerf bars sticker $39 and change out the door for $27 and some change. Sweet truck would never get anything else. Besides a F150 doesnt even compare to a ram 1500 maybe a f250 but thats high 40's and ford doesnt like to neg. that much with a 250.
