Looks like you've got the point, and accepted that the Mopar rotars sadly are trash! For replacements I'd suggest some PowerSlot rotors and any of the recommended pads (green stuff or Hawk). If you can't find or don't want PowerSlot's then I've heard good things about Baer DecelaRotors....links for both below

Baer DecelaRotors From Jegs.com - http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...57484_-1_11753

Baer / PowerSlot From Truckperformance.com - http://www.performancecenter.com/pro.../2003/Ram+1500

I'm a huge fan of Performance Friction. http://www.performancefriction.com/index.htm I don't believe they offer rotors but their pads are outstanding. I researched pads before I went to autozone to buy them and these seemed to be the best. After a year and a half of hard abuse (pretending that i'm going out for NASCAR truck series) they still feel like they do since the first day I put 'em on.

thanks again everyone, thanks for the links. i was reading though that maybe I don't want drlled, just slotted? the argument was that the drilled ones were more for racing and would possibly crack or warp?

oh and Jay,
gave up the diesel to save money, not have to turn off my motor when I go through a drive through, be able to park in normal spaces

Every Set i Have Had That Were Drilled... Cracked.

Slotted Is Pretty Standard on Aftermarket Rotors.. and Is A Good Idea. IMHO

Yeah, mine warped at like 5 miles, so they were replaced udner warranty. Now the fronts are warped again, only slightly, but still. I learend that lesson. no more mopar rotors. I just plan on adding another 500 bucks to the wheel/tire fund. and replacing my front with powerslots. Know quite a few people with them on thier heavier rigs and they have no complaints.

Check these out http://www.centricparts.com/INDEX2.HTML

I run with the slotted and drilled rotorsand use the full ceramic pads all round.
Excellent products.

Also, read the Tech support section.
Theres some really good brake information in the write ups there.

Hope this helps you?
Al.

By linking to the Baer drilled / slotted rotors I wasn't necessarily advocating for them I've heard lots of stories about drilled rotors cracking, just never seen it myself. I would note that some hardcore vehicles come with drilled rotors (porsche, the new 'Vette ZR1, etc....) but I guess the manuf's figure if you can afford one of those replacing rotors isn't a big deal

The past three vehicles I've owned (2 trucks, 1 sports car) I replaced the crappy factory rotors with PowerSlots and never had an issue afterward....and I've already got a new set sitting in my garage waiting for a bit warmer weather / time / motivation for me to put them (PowerSlots) on my 05....which oddly at 20K miles hasn't shown any signs or warping....

I saw rotors from EBC, powerslot, and SP Performance at http://moesperformance.com/index.php...th=1_10_19_259 EBC and SP Performance had both drilled or slotted rotors. Power slot only sells slotted rotors, which is what your looking for. The Powerslots look to be the cheapest at 94 a rotor or 118 for their new cryo rotors.
