Tonnou Cover Suggestions
moparmutt,
I think that I've decided your choice of tonneau cover will work best for my needs and application. Is it the one seen on their website as the:
Truxedo Lo Pro QT? It seems to be super easy to install and at least reasonably secure with a locking tailgate. Are theyreally leakproof?Where did you purchase yours and do you know where the best price available might be?
Thanks for your info-

I love my BakFlip G2... We've had a couple good rains since I put it on, and as long as you buy the tailgate sealer kit, the truck bed remains 99.99% dry.
It's a very versatile cover. When fully opened it gives you 99% of your truck bed (Covers about 2 inches in the front, and yes you can drive with it opened against the cab) and it takes all of about 2 minutes to take the cover completely off and stow in the garage if need be. The install took me about 20 minutes once I started, and the overall look is great (In my opinion) It's a low profile cover that sits flush with the bed rails....
The BakFlip is made to work with certain kinds of bed rail covers. It actually comes with long strips of ABS plastic that you have to use if your truck does NOT have bed rail covers, this is to simulate the size difference. The ABS strips are about 1/4-3/8" thick. So your bed rail covers may work without modification.
If you get the BakFlip, you won't be dissappointed... If you have a locking tailgate, your bed will be secure, as you must open to tailgate in order to open the BakFlip. The only thing I'm not a fan about with this cover, if you do open the tailgate, up must unlatch the last section to close the tailgate back, then drop the cover, and it'll lock into place. I say I don't like that, but only at first, now that I'm used to it, it's absolutely no big deal...

Personally I'm not a fan of "Soft" tonneau covers b/c in my area I've seen too many of my friends have theirs slashed out in parking lots. Just punk kids around here wanting to ruin someones day. That's another reason I went with the BakFlip.
