Default Tonnou Cover Suggestions

I'm looking for a "low profile" tonnou cover for my 07 1500 QCSB. Don't want anything that goes over the bed rails, and want something that is easy to open and close for use of the bed. I already had the extang trifecta folding tonnou and hating how it looked on my truck. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

mine isn't so "low profile", but it's super easy. the back rail snap off, and it rolls up with the tarp, and the cross supports roll up into tarp as well. the sides are just velcro to hold it shut. it's completely keeps the elements out of the truck too. it has a great mechanism to control the tension on the whoel tarp...and that mechanism takes place in the "snapping in" of the back rail.

truxedo truxport....~$220 on ebay last year

Well...if you hated the Trifecta you might not be interested in the Bak BakFlip G2 folding cover either, but that what I just got. It's sitting at my house waiting for me to get off work and install, but I love it already. It's a hard top and super easy to install and use. It has the capability to fold completely up to the back window for use of your entire bed.

After watching the video it sems pretty cool, but I felt bad for that short man tying to reach over and install it.

Ya...he's a pretty small dude. I think the video show that the install is pretty damn easy.

I'm curious, though, if the cover can actually hold a normal sized person to stand and sit on it. I'm about 220lbs...that little guy probably weighs nothing.

Please let me know how the BAKFlip Gen. 2 works for you. I've got an 05' QC, SWB and I have the Putco Boss Bedrails. "IF" it would work with these large bedrails and no modifications I would be interested in this tonneau cover. If anyone knows for sure please advise on the fit.

Thanks

I know extang makes a new one, that uses tensioner's in the corners and flat rails, it mounts inside flush with the box, you could look at those.

If you want a soft cover. The Truxedo lo pro is good. It's what I have. It's real easy to use, just snap it loose at the back and roll it up.

I just put the Access vanish cover on and it looks good and was very easy to install.
