Default 04 torsion bar/level kit Question

Hey guys, new here, used the search and didnt find what I was looking for. So could anyone please help.. I have an 04 ram quad cab, 4x4, 1500. I am wanting to level it out. Can anyone please tell me the pros and cons of just cranking up the torsion bars? Or if it would be in better intrest to buy a level kit. And if so, does anyone know of a good one. THanks for the help

I thought the level kit was a better option to save ride quality but after thinking it through it really does the same thing as cranking the torsion bars. Some leveling kits do come with shock mount relocaters though. Keeps the schock geometry correct and makes sure they wont over extend when off road.

This kit claims no change in ride quality and comes with the shock mounts. I am tempted to email and ask them to elaborate on how it wont effect the ride quality. Maybe I am missing something.

I cranked the bars a few turns and put drop force drop shackles in the rear. The ride is the same.

Just don't go crazy when cranking the bars.

You dont have T-bars

Jameslyle, you should be ok with your stock shocks.

Stock Shocks Will Remain Adequate..

If You Overcrank If Will Bounce. Been There, Not Fun! Otherwsie Ready lift Keys Were A Great Choice

I can only speak from experience on an 04 Hemi QC, 4X4.

I did around 4 turns on the shackles.

The 2" drop shackles are not that much, <$100 check with Moe's.
