Warrant--- To buy or not to buy

RE: Warrant--- To buy or not to buy
I just bought a 5 year 100,000 through dealer services for $2180.("elite" OEM coverage)I rather hope I don't need it but it does give you peace of mind...provided you plan on keeping your truck for 5 years. The only thing I didnt take into account is the extra $$ it will cost to HAVE to take the truck in for all of it's servicing. I try to do as much of it myself but I guess those days are behind me for now. I think I read on this forum that dodge charges somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 for a transmission service....that seems CRAZY to me.

Kristopher---
will they void a claim if you dont do everything on your service manual or in their incriments? I run amsoil 25k syn oil, change it every 7500 miles, still comes out better than any reg oil at a 3k oil change ive ever seen. I still think changing the front and rear diff fluid every 15k miles is total crap.
All- BTW what all is involved in your 30k mile maint. keep hearing people saying i need to get that done.
from that chryslerwarrantys website, 3yr 100k ( i put about 25k a year) maximum care is 1700, but the lifetime maximum care is 2700, may make me want to keep this truck for a while, then buy a 2500 CTD.
