Hmm sounds like your used to cars which all that matters is a great ride, no noise etc. Pretty much every truck is going to have noises. power is first then interior looks are last. Ive never bought a truck brand new but maybe you can go to a different dealer and have them work on it.

Thanks for the reasonable resposnses. Im going to try to get a zone rep to authroize a dealership for work, or go to an independent, get an estimate and sue Dodge for maintenance or push for a lemon return or breach of warranty.

I rented a RAM for 3 weeks before buying and the thing that sold me was the quiet solid feel. I test drove alot of them and the one I got is noisy! Im sure replacing the torque converter (probably whole tranny) and diff isnt cheap, but dealer has not been able to demonstrate sounds from other trucks. The other ones are all quiet.

The depreciation is not unique to dodge and is only an issue because I feel like I want to get out of it and I cant. I kept both of my two past cars for 6-7 years so depreciation wasnt an issue.

I tried the adjustable pedals in the dealer lot and I think they bring the pedals closer, not farter away than stock. I am only 6', but have long legs and I like to recline the seat, so the steering is far away.

i get what you're saying, cma.

owning a nissan that has had NO unexpected issues whatsoever in 85000 miles is a pretty big biasbuilder for me. a titan or a tundra would put our rams to shame...but you have to pay for them. i own all american cars, except my maxima, and i think buying american is just religious...and a pride issue. they're made to go to **** in 7 years, and you need to get a new one (for the most part)....where as european cars last for like 15 years, with tons of little things going wrong with it the whole time...and then japan just makes cars last forever with few mechinical complications, but really expensive parts.

I have to agree with smash. My dad has a 1987 toyota that still runs great, the only time its been in the shop is when the clutch and brake cylinder went out. Its got the 22r engine thats bullet proof. Its mostly becuase they arnt building cars like they used. Hell these new luxury cars get in a lil fender bender its around $4000 just to replace a fiberglass piece.

the ridgeline is a piece of somthing. If youre gonna go foreign get a taco, itll beat the hell out of a queerline any day of the week. Think the ridgline even comes with a diaper changing table for a tailgate.

yea my friend has a ridgeline and the only thing their good for is lowding snowboards in the back and goin to the mountains. Their a good concept but its still a honda. Honda just needs to stay building bikes. Even those are getting worse. Kawi all the way.
