Default '04 - Squeal when turning the steering wheel

This just started a week or two ago, and I'm not sure whether to attribute it to the cold weather or not. I have about 35k miles on the truck, and whenever I turn the wheel towards either extreme, I here a small squeal. The actual turning/steering performance hasn't changed a bit, and I feel nothing else wrong when driving besides the sound.

Anyone care to take a stab at what this might be?

Thanks!

Darrell

A normal power steering pump will make a small noise when turned to the extreme, if this is not a normal sound it could be the belt slipping.

Yea, it makes the sound just a bit before I actually hit the extreme, and it only started a week or two ago.

I'll check the belt tonight.

Thanks!
