Tell me can I play with my speedo with the SCT/Superchips/Bulldog? With my tire sizing it is off and I cannot find anyone to change it for me, I'm also interested in the mods you guys are discussing as well as better MPG's

Thanks

timmerduder - definetly look into a tuner - I installed a bully dog triple dog last week - after an initial hiccup everything got taken care of andafter a tripof about680 miles appr. and 1 and a 1/2 tanks of gas I got 15.6 and 16.69 on fillups, hand calculated out of my mega - the latter being a straight 65 mph with some hills. Whether you get superchips or the Bully Dog - your mileage will go up - I am very happy with mine.

I have to chime in and agree with Hammer, the Superchips unit (only one I've got experience with) is worth it's price for the firmer shifts alone. I waited a long time to finaly get one (got it just recently), and after driving with the tune, enjoying firmer shifts, better mpg and a tad more power (it seems) I don't know why I waited so long. I don't know about the other tuners (bullydog for example), but if they basically do the same thing I'd say they were worth it too...

The SCT is a whole 'nother trip...I've heard that they have a good reputation with Ford / Chevy guys, so assuming that holds true with us Dodge folk it should be a nice product especially for those like Hammer who've done more than the standard CAI/Exhaust/Thermostat

Just a quick word of advice, when you set the tire size, actually MEASURE the diameter from top to bottom, with the truck on a level surface. The stated size is never right on, plus variables like air pressure and weight play into it. I'm within a fraction of a mph according to the GPS since doing it this way...

Hey Guys
I ordered an 08 Ram 5.7 4x4

Question

I like to buy a computor tuner but i dont know which one to get Superchips, Edge. Hypertech?
Edge hp numbers look to be much better than the Superchips, but the company told me that the 07 tuner wont work on my 08???? They said it wont be out for the 08 til this fall. (Brilliant eh?)

Best money is spent where???????? Help please

Cheers!!!
Thanx

Neal

I just installed my K&N 63 series CAI today and along with the exhaust and tuner i must say that i am impressed with the whole setup! And my MPG is up 1 MPG from stock...and that is with me driving harder with all the new power. I imagine that when...if...i drive more conservatively then i would not be surprised to see more MPG gains. I have not been a member very long but Thanks to all of the info provided!
