Default Superchips Tuner

I programmed the ol' truck the other day with the superchips tuner and I must say that it was a vast improvement over the stock tune. Shifting has firmed up and the throttle response has increased! I have no clue if the MPG are improving as I cant get my foot off of the skinny pedal!
I can't wait until my CAI arrives!

the tuner ran me 399 with free next day shipping from autoanything.com
I must say that if anyone is in the market for a tuner and is on the fence about getting one...get it! Its like a whole new truck

IMO the firmer tranny shifts is worth the price of the unit alone! The only thing I regret is that the company abandoned going to custom tunes. As a result, when the SCT is out for the Hemi and proven, I'll be installing a KRC 210 cam and my Superchips Flashpaq will be for sale.
If you are only mildly modded though, and don't need the custom tuning, I agree, the Superchips is an excellent investment...

No adverse effects and reports are that the crisper tranny shifts actually increases the life of your automatic tranny.
The Superchips unit has even been CARB certified or at least is pending...

Screw Diablo! I've had a custom ground KRC 210 cam (plus springs, retainers, pushrods and damper) waiting on them and their tuner that was supposed to originally be out in July of '07 so I'd not have to go with a piggyback! I've lost confidence in their ability to tame the DCX PCM!
The SCT is out and as soon as a few other brave souls act as guinea pigs, I will be jumping on one. It also helps that I'm only about 10 miles from a very highly regarded Hemi performance shop with a dyno who has become an SCT dealer, making custom tunes off a dyno very easy for me to get!!!

This is true, but I've only been waiting for a couple months, I wasn't ready to buy a tuner last summer. But I'd prefer they take their time, push back release dates and put out quality rather then rushing it like a PS3 and recalling ahalf *** product. I haven't heard the best things about the mds surge you get with the SCT so I'm looking forward to disabling and seeing how she does then.

If I'm not mistaken, MDS delete was supposed to be a feature on the initial release of the SCT, but with an '04, it doesn't effect me anyway. Like I said though, I'm at the point, mod-wise, where "canned tunes" doesn't do what I need anyway. So I'm VERY into the fact that I can have KRC install the cam and Marty can custom write me a couple of tunes based on the dyno!!!
With what I already have, the cam is really as far as I can go (naturally aspirated) without headwork. Just the fact that I'm so close to KRC and their reputation is so good, would have me leaning toward whatever product they can write tunes for.
