Should I do it????
He's gonna eat you up. I've seen a lot of them at the track run consistant high 14's bone stock. You'd be hard pressed to do that in a Hemi with a good amount of mods.
If you've ever been in one you'd be amazed by how much harder they pull than the Hemi's.
You're just pissing your money away.

I don't think it's really the power difference (easy to make up in the Hemi) but the way it gets to the ground that gives Toyota the advantage. The choice of gears in the Ram transmission sucks; 1st and 2nd should be more agressive, and it should use all 5 gears for normal driving instead of saving one as a dedicated downshift gear. What a waste of a cog! Obviously having a 4.3x rear end also benefits the Tundra.
I love my ram I pull a 15 second flat 1/4 @ 93 mph 0-60 6.13 I race my friend in his 08 nissan titan (that truck will run) before I put my programmer on we were about even untill 107 then he could run up on me and pass me all day after I put my programmer on it was see ya brother never looked back. He won't even try and run me any more
The one thing that you have in your advantage is the aftermarket. I have a 5.7 RCSB that will run 14 seconds stock. However, the only mods out for us is exhaust, intakes and headers. You guys have that plus cams, tuners, and all the other good stuff that goes with domestics. There's a guy on Tundrasolutions thats running a 13.8 with just an exhaust. But ive also seen Hemi's on this site that are close to 12s. So at the moment, you have way more potential.
nobody cares to know what happened after this long thread???
last post teachin posted was about putting 22" srt 10 wheels on the truck so i bet it was REALLY FAST for him to want to put those wheels on it......
