Hey guys I got a co-worker who wants to run his new tundra vs. my quad cab hemi for $250 and bragging rights. His truck has the 5.7, 4 full doors, and a short bed. I really want to shut this guy up. Since he bought that ugly truck, I have not heard the end of it.To make a long story short, I want to beat this guy. I've got a few upgrades which I think will put me over the top. What do you guys think?? Any advice, help, or past expericence vs. the new tundra would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

From what I heard you should be able to take it

 

dont do it! tundras got 381 HP, 401 ft/lbs 10.2:1 compression ratio

specs on 07 hemi (didnt want to spend time looking for 05) 335 hp, 375 ft/lbs, 9.6:1

spend your money on a grill guard.

From what i have read the stock numbers don't stack up in my favor, but I feel with the few additions that I have made will put me over the top.

 

then just do it and let us know what happens. when he beats you, just let him know you had the money to spare because your truck was $10k less than his.

if he has the tow package, he has the 4.30 gear (i think), so he'll probably beat you out of the hole and never look back.

if you really want him to shut up, just offer the $250 for silence....or set his truck on fire...accuse him of trying to touch you...steal crap from work and put it in the bed of his truck....whatever it takes
