sorry but 114 octane won't help. an engine only "needs" a certain octane and anything more is a waste, but it does smell good

I fyou are going to do it then try to remove as much weight as possible - and run with only a 1/4 tank of fuel at max - I am guessing you are running the premium tune as well? If your lucky it will be a drivers race - so be sure and hook up and don't look back - let us know how it turns out!

You may have a couple of upgrades, but what has HE got for upgrades??

I would love to hear you beat him at the track.

BUT.....

1. What gears do you have? If he has the tow package w/4.30 and you have something like I do (3.73), I'd be concerned.

2. The40 series Flowmasters will hold you back according to a Flow Tech I spoke to before I got mine. They only recommend the HD series for Hemi's. He claimed the other series do not produce the same power/torque as the HDs.

3. Practice your reaction times. You may just need the Holeshot Win.

I hate to say this, but the Tundra will beat the Hemi. Me and my buddy raced on a closed road on his property. His truck was bone stock, and I had FM 50 HD, intake, and superchips at the time. My reaction time was a little quicker and I got him off the line, but he smoked me soon thereafter, beating me by about a truck length at the 1/4 mile mark. Neither of us stripped any weight from our trucks, tailgates were up, no cover on mine at that time. He wanted to run again to see what he could do with a better start, but I had seen enough... I love my truck, but the numbers are in favor of the Tundra...
