Those commercials are real, good friend of mine is a big Whig at toyota, they have a local atty, a rep from the mpaa and there's a third one I think a official from the city, at all the demos. That braking demo where he almost goes off the cliff, they had to shoot it several times cause the truck stopped too quickly and too far from the edge.

The tundra will smoke em, there's a youtube video of a tundra and ram with a tow strap, the rams tires squealed as the tundra just kept moving forward. Like I said before, save your money.

Oh yeah toyo is coming out with a light duty diesel mid 2010, powerplant will be made by a company they own called hino. May be too late to buy their stock.

 

Wellmaybe it'stime to put a little more money into the motor. Change the gear ratio to at least 4.10.The hell with it put a pro shot 250 nitro kit on it that will shut him down.

 

Don't do it for $250, by the times I have seen the new Tundra run, you will lose.

 

all this talk about upgrades is meaningless, when you compare trucks it should be stock to stock. Like when you have those civic homos that spend all this money to beat a stock vette, ooooh who cares its still just a civic. I remember taking my moms new 5spd turbo bug up to an 1/8 mile track, it was near the fla ga border so lots of necks with their upgraded hemis. I raced 3 of em, pissed one off cause while we were still in line I made the ol does that thing got a hemi. I beat all 3 hemis hands down, 81mph low 8 seconds. The cool thing with the bug you could stay in 1st till 30, 2nd till 70 3rd was 110 4th 120-125 5th through 145.

Stock to stock the tundras got hemis beat any day of the week. They also won a slolom (spell check) course with a grand in the bed.

The tundra is not a real truck. they also have problems with the tilegate, you can't put more than 200 lbs on it or it will bend cause they didn't weld it all the way up. Tundas Are for pussies!

the tundra's are a little quicker bcause they are lighter but the hemihas faster acceleration and it depends on what mods he's got.
