ya go for it. i think me and redram are just biased towards a lifted truck lol. i personally rather not see a dropped truck, to me it loses its point of being a truck. but if you want the 2" drop then go get it. post pics when youre done.
+1...it seems sort of out of wack to lower a full size pickup, but whatever floats your boat man...your truck is really nice. But my question though is the reason the back end is up so high is because it is sprung to hold weight, and if you lower that, doesnt that defeat the purpose of hauling?

Maybe he isn't hauling. I would do it. I like the look of a raised truck as much as the next guy. But my first love was low riders. I think a lowered truck is pretty sick. I think thats a sweet set up.

Howdy,

I'm about to do the same thing, and I'm going to go with www.slammed1.com. Brian over there seem's to have the kit that will getyou theclosest to a 2" drop. Another member here on the forum, raiderjay6, used his shacklesand his truck has that nice level look. He posted some pics of his truck not to long ago. Read down thru this thread and click on his photo gallery

Okay, here is the deal. I used to have a 7000 pound camping trailer. I owned a 1500 when I bought the trailer.
The 1500 would not tow it as I figured. The only thing I could afford was a F250 Super Duty Diesel. I got a
great deal. Since then, I sold the huge trailer and didn't need the F250 any more. I sold it and bought another
1500. I don't use a truck for "truck" puposes. I hardly ever tow so I don't need a V8. I got the V6. When I do
tow it's only with a 300 pound trailer to get plants and top soil. (I do small landscape jobs on the side) I didnt
need a 4x4. I live in California. It's always sunny here. No snow. I put the bed cover on it so my wife can stick
the baby stroller back there andthe groceries.

Having said all that. Everybody buys a truck for different reasons. It depends on how much truck you really
need, what you do with it. My main point with this truck is, I am saving money and I can still do "truck"
stuff.

To answer some of your guys questions... yes I do want to lower it but, I was just trying to know if I was
doing it the right way? I dont want to lower the front. Just the rear. So I am not looking for a complete
lowered look.

I am in California, Temecula. Just an hour north of San Diego.

The wheels and tires are smaller than 20's. Not too small. They are factory 17 inch wheels with BFG's.
I would like to put some 18's on there. I don't want 20's. The rubber price goes up when you upgrade
to 20's and your gas useage goes up as well. I think I am going to order the kit this weekend. Maybe
next weekend I can install it. I'll post a pic for those that asked.

Much appreciated on your time -

By the way, I am a Mopar guy but, I just sold my 69 Charger that took me 6 years to build. The wife
wanted to go back to school and we needed to pay for it some how. If only I could have kept my
600HP 440, RRR!
