My 04 5.7 liters QC 1500 gets around 17 city and 23 highway because the engine broke itself in which is resulted in higher mpg. I hate the MDS because my cousin has an 07 HEMI QC 1500 with flowmaster, it sounds so horrible and he doesnt like. He sold his truck to get an 05 and he upgraded to flowmaster dual.... he loves it!

I cannot wait for diablo to come out with their programmer so I can disable my MDS on my '08. It sucks! Supposedly the '09's spend even more time in the lagging 4banger mode....YUCK!

Is that with the 5.7 V8? Better than my Chevy 5.7 if so; I'm checking out Dodges soon, too many problems with the Chevy...

Default 5.7 gas mileage

Yeah its a 5.7 I know what you mean about chevy problems I work at a parts store and I sell alot of chevy parts. Not a day goes by that I dont sell a intake gasket set mainly for the 5.3 liter. My hemi gets pretty good gas mileage for a 4000 pound truck, it runs pretty good too I run 11.87 in the 1000 ft. drag strip where I race.

Frank, My wife had a 06 Durango with the MDS and I had a 04 Durango with no MDS at the same time and I was getting two miles a gallon better mileage.
Plus my 04 had a better whole shot than hers. From what I have been reading about the MDS, it adds only a couple of miles a gallon in a car like the 300 or Challenger but the engine has to work harder on four cylinders to maintain a given speed with the weight and wind resistance of a truck or SUV.

My 4.8L silverado reg cab stepside 4x4 got 13-14mpg mixed. I had 3:73 gears in that
My 08 quad cab 4x4 gets 12mpg on average on the readout. 3:92 gears w/20's. Don't do much highway driving. My Ram truck is bigger and much heavier than my silverado and my Ram city driving compares to my mixed driving with the silverado.

Also, MDS isn't really noticeable with stock exhaust. Very annoying with any catback. The MDS would cause the truck to be very sluggish on downshifting. I just installed the Predator with MDS disabled and PMG it's like it should have been fro the factory. No back and forth, dealyed shifting..etc... Much better. I bought the predator for that sole purpose. I could care less about the performance aspect although i stuck it on 91tune and it does feel a bit more punchier at about 10mph
