1) Actually, that's Quaker State. 2) No idea. I've been using Pennzoil for over twenty years. I've not had any engine problems.I change it the oil every 3K, which sometimes meant twice a month.

I thought Quaker state was the same as pennzoil? Do you use the conventional yellow bottle pennzoil?

I use dead lizards, but it depends on which vehicle(my truck 93K+) and my daughter's Camry (97K +/-) get high-mileage (bronze bottle). My 300C (30K) gets yellow bottle. All are done at 3K

Pennzoil got a bad rap for sludging up engines...what people don't realize is that sludge is cause from not changing your oil frequently/on time. I'm thinking since dino pennzoil is so cheap, all the cheap asses that bought it were being extra cheap and extending their oil change intervals. And of course they blame it on the oil...

I've always heard Penzoil gums up.... but like said above almost any oil will if unchanged. I just never used it or never will and I change my oil at 3K max. I have always prefered Valvoline.

I have used Penz all my life and never had a problem with it. Quaker State,on the other hand, I would not put in a lawn mower. I use the synthetic in my truck and cars and use Wix filters. No oil relatedproblems at all.
