Default Bullydog triple dog

I have been thinking of ordering an bully dog programmer for my 08' ram 1500. I was wondering how many of you are running them and what kind of results you are gitting in both power and gas milage? I have done a search and found mostly complaints about trying to get it loaded at first. Is everyone having that problem or are those the only ones who have posted obout the BD?

Thanks

One other question, I just picked up the truck last so it only has about 200 miles on it, is there any reson I should wait for a while to install a programmer?

Wait for a few thousand miles first. There are some guys on hemitruck forum that have them and they like them. Claim 4 mpg more.

Well I got my programmer today and after about an hour on the computer downloading the update agent from bully dog I had it installed. I was pleasently suprised with the performance gains, I did it for the fuel milage for the most part. Runs like a completly new truck, if I can stay out of the throttle we will see if helps at the pump. One question for you guys running either bully dog or superchips, what are you setting your shifft points at for 1-2 and 2-3? I just kinda guessed and set the rev limiter at 6200, 1-2 at 6040, and 2-3 at 5960. Just wondering if some of you guys have played with them enough to decide what works the best.

Once agian thanks for any info.

If you plan on keeping the truck a long time, i wouldnt mess with the revs untill it has 20,000 on it or so. i just saw a 07 ram w/ 5k come back to the dealship with a blown head. and he was running a superchips, and had the rev limiter higher then stock! just something to keep in mind! i think the dealer doesnt want to cover the blown head becuase it was changed from thestock setting!! and fixing the truck could cost a $$$$$. he just got the truck not even 6 months ago. but he beat the sh*t out of the truck.
