There should be a fused B+ (always hot) and a switched hot (to the key) in the 4 line cable that goes to the computer in the overhead console itself. I don't know if it would be a good idea to tap off of it though, as these are small lines.

I bought a 10 piece bag of male post crimp-on terminals at Radio Shack for $1.99 and wired mine into the auto dimming mirror. If it ever quits raining, I'll get some pics. It is nice to not have the cord running to the lighter and the detector coming on in the accessory position. Not it only posers up in the run condition.
The Radio Shack part number is 64-3095.

Can the overhead trip computers be installed pretty easy? Is the harness already run up to the headliner?

Thanks so much for this! It saved me hours! I just installed a Gentex Homelink and self-dimming mirror. Instead of running their wiring harness down the A-pillar I just tapped into the overhead console power. The mirror can't draw more than a handful milliamps so I wasn't too worried about eliminating the fuses.

The colors were different in mine but the positions were the same. I verified it to the harness cable in the A-pillar before making connections.

The internet is great!
