Default Lift vs. speed?

Hey, How much would a 6 inch lift and 35 inch tires affect say a hemi q cab? I know bigger tires will will slow quiet a bit. But how exactly will it slow this truck down? Does any one have any numbers? 0-60 or anything. Anyone have first hand experiance? Thanks for any information I get in advance.

It will still go the same speed, just take longer to get there.

A Its a truck, not a hot rod.
B A lift is the opposite of what you want if you like speed.

That said, if you want the keep performance close to stock or better, put 4.56's in it with those tires.

With my Mega Cab and the LT31570R17's which are tall and wide, thats tall and wide, it's definately slower but it'll definately still kickthe crapon most any other 4X4 out there.... maybe not the new Toys but I can run over them instead and look a heck of a lot better doing it.

Didn't mean to pick on you, but in over 20 years of being around lifted trucks, your the first person who ever gave a **** about 0-60 times AND lifting a truck for big tires.
That combo doesn't really go together.

To answer your question, of course lifting your truck and putting big meats on it will severely hurt your speed. The wind drag alone would be a killer at an added 6" of height, let alone the weight and rolling circumference of the larger tires. MPG will suffer big time too.
There are things you can do to minimize the losses in both acceleration and fuel economy. Proper gearing is a biggie, as is the common power/mpg mods like exhaust, CAI, tuner & headers.
And no, I don't have any 0-60 times, my truck is modded to almost 7000 lbs., my performance mods are more designed for higher low end torque numbers, not HP. I could give a rats *** about 0-60 times.
