Torque improvements?
Hey all, just curious I was wondering what could drastically improve torque in the trucks...I already re-geared to 4.56's and have an exhaust, intake, and programmer...anything else that can help improve torque? I was looking into an electric fan and a new throttle body...any help is greatly appreciated

E-fan, even though it's considered an HP mod will help the low end when taking off from a dead stop as there is less rolling resistance at low rpm's due to the fact that the belt is not turning the fan. Also, it picked me up an easy 1-1.5 mpg's.
The best mods you could do are a new cam with a grind designed more for low end torque than high end HP. KRC 210 and Comp 260 are the two that come to mind right away. The only other mod that is recommended for the cam that you don't already have would be headers. Not mandatory with these milder cams as they would be with an aggressive high end HP cam, but still would help. As I said, you already have the gears, CAI and tuner that would be recommended for a cam upgrade.
Torque converter, of course, would be the other one, but labor costs on this one are not cheap by any means...

Ahhhh, my bad, I didn't even notice you had a 3.7![:@]
Those are Hemi cams. I know there are a couple of really good 4.7 cams out there. My '02 Grand Cherokee Overland has the Mopar High Output one in it and it's a torquey SOB.
I'll see what I can find for the 3.7. If I strike out, I'm going to KRC Performance this week to check and see where Marty is with the custom tunes for the new SCT Tuner (the only thing I'm waiting for to do my KRC 210 Cam) and I'll ask him what's out there. They specialize in all the Chrysler engines, so he'd know...

That was easier than I thought. KRC 200V6: Runs well with in a stock engine, but is enhanced if you have intake and exhaust. Very good Torque CAM, used a lot in towing applications because of the enhanced torque. $349, but recommended you get stronger springs (every aftermarket cam suggests you get stronger springs btw)...

Compression ratio increase
will improve both torque and fuel economy
across the whole rpm range.
Notice the 2009 5.7 V8 increases the compression ratio from the 2008 model
and then claims a 4% improvement
Milling the cylinder heads and using a thin Cometic head gasket
is the least expensive way to increase CR
but new pistons are the best
After the increase you may need to use higher octane fuel
Simplest way to increase torque slightly
is to increase the sparkplug gap

Very simple install, about an hour to put it in, but also about an hour to get the bitch of a stock fan out...
