Well...It's 4x2 first of all, this isnt the lumber yard

Do some searching and youll find a bit of info.

I am all for it, i think it looks cool. and if your somewhere you dont need 4x4 but like the look, why not. No different than the huge 4x4 that are just pavement queens. A lift is going to be a little harder to track down. but lots of people have done it. I think the spindle lift was the most popular.

I say just level it out and slap some 35's or 36's on it.

Lol.. 2x4, too many years in construction I guess... I've been searching, looking and everything else, just doesn't seem to be a lot out there. This is the first 2wd truck I've had in many years, and I just want to raise the front a little to keep in from sagging so much. I already put a set of ride rite bags on the back to keep it from squatting under a load...

i dont think you need spring compressors, just use another jack and let it down slowly.

where did you get your spacers and for how much? and how tall are they?

max, put a floorjack under the front and jack it up to the level you like. take a measurment at the fender above the tire, before and then after.
if you like it over 2 in higher go with spindles. under 2 u can use spacers. imyself put in 1.5 daystar spacers from summitracing on my 07 2wd reg cab, about 55.00 shipped. after install it sat about 1.25 in higher in front. looks much better.. i think on a 2wd 2in would look best.
let me know if you have any ?

Spacers would be fine for leveling your 2 wheel drive truck.

Oh, yea and that's really a pet peeve of mine, too. If your search this forum, you'd find at least a couple of dozen times that I've written "You own a 4x2, a 2x4 is a piece of wood"...

Not as durable as spindles or new coils, but then again, if you were gonna push it hard off road, you'd probably not have a 4x2...

I picked up a a set of 2" Daystar bushings off of ebay for $59. I tried the jack set up, but even with every imaginable thing pulled loose, the spring would not go back in with the spacer. Compressors are here now though, so this weekend will get 'er done...
