stupid HVAC blend door problem
who's had it and how much did you pay to fix it?? or if you did it yourself how did you do it?? i tore apart my dash the other day and it looks like all the actuators move the way they're supposed to but the air still isn't being routed correctly ... help please
do you have a vacuum pump?
just disconnect all the vaccum hoses to you, and see if they hold a vacuum. maybe there's just a hose that popped off or something.

i get vent air from the passenger vents and ac from the drivers vents ... and it's exactly like that whether the thermostat is set to hot or cold
Had to replace the blend & recirc doors in my Grand Cherokee in October. What a friggin' bitch, but nine hours spread over my two days off beat the hell out of the $1100 in labor the dealer wanted to replace barely over $100 in parts...
The most common problen is number 4 in the pic below. The part that you need to fix it is about $40.00. You have to take the dash and A/C housing out of the truck

# number 4 is the recic door this won't make it blow cold on the driver side. You can just remove the glove box and see if the recic door is broken.

I have done these dashes before. They are very easy to do, you mush pull back the entire dash, discharge A/C system and remove box. then dissasemble it to find the broken door. I can do the entire job in about 3 Hours. Like I said before it's a broken blend door. you will need part number 3, on the pic.
