If you're asking about the ESP (Electronic Stability Programing) currently available as an option the answer is yes and no. You can shut it down partially, but to be completely shut off I believe you have to drop into 4X4 low. Details are outlined in the owners manual. For an '04 model I don't know how they might be different from the 08's, or whether the ESP is the same as your traction control.

It can be turned completely off in my 300C, but it requires some wiring mods. Otherwise, it just reduces the "nanny" effect. If this is truly traction control, pressing the button on the dash just reduces the effect -- doesn't turn it completely off. I didn't realize it was offered on the trucks.

yeah it can't truly be turned off, from what i've seen/heard....when you push the button it's kinda "off" but will come back into full effect above 30MPH...below 30 it will be a little less restrictive but will kick back on if anythings too out fo wack
