Wow. You got a raw deal, no doubt. And I am sorry to hear that it happened to you or if it happened to anyone. I have to agree with Hemichief that maybe you need to call a Regional Manager and see what can be done, if anything. If not, I think the DF members need to pull together and put some funds together, I think that wouldn't be asking too much. I don't have much to give, but I'll find a way, even if it's rolling coins, I know I got 60-80 bucks of coins accumulated in my room that I generally save for rainy day gas money. well in 02 they had a little bit of a funky situtation goin on...my 02 had a 3/36 basic and had 7/100 powertrain, before they switched it to 7/70

 

Try a diffrent dodge dealership and see what they say....the powertrain warranty should be longer then the 36k they're telling you. Usually the bumper-to-bumper is only 36k..

Did the dealership that diagnosed the problem actually pull the heads? If they didn't the heads might still be good as long as they're not cracked or warped all to hell. You might be able to pull'em and have someone machine'em. Depending on how much they're warped from overheating you might be able to get away with slight machining and some gaskets,

Ah I found the website, i was always afraid of this happening. Makes you wonder where they get these vehicles from, and if they even enspect them. Did you ask or did they give you a carfax on it?

 

i might be able to get ya a set of heads here from work....we got a coupleengines layin around that theres not much use for, i'll check into it and see...what engine do you have?
