Saw the funniest thing done to a Tundra.....
I know this has nothing to do with a Dodge, but I thought everyone would get a kick out of it. Ok so the other day me and my wife were out and about running errands, When a New Tundra pulled up next to us at a red light. She made a comment that it wasn't a bad looking truck. And I had to agree. It looked like any other guy who takes pride in his truck, adding Step bars, Chrome, you know anything.... That is until we had a green light. I just started laughing my *** off.... This thing sounded like a lawn mower... Needless to say, I guess in this guy's mind it sounded awesome. I so wanted to tell the guy, dude I think you got ripped off on your muffler. I mean my lawn mower sounded better.. I think he might have had a V-6 (if they even make them) and definantly got the wrong exhaust. Not throaty at all.. more like a truck screaming "Help me". Just thought y'all might get a kick outof that. Oh and the funniest thing was, he looked over at us after we were moving, so i couldn't resist..... I had to floor it and show hime what a truck is suppose to sound like.... (And I don;t even have and exhaust)......... [sm=laughat.gif][sm=laughat.gif]
I have seen the same thing. There is a guy I work with that has a tundra that sounds the same way. It kills me everytime I hear him coming or going out of the parking lot.
Sounds like you were around one of the V6 models....because I've not only ridden in, but test driven two of the newer Tundra V8 models....and they both have a very nice sound to them.

Let's cut to the bottom line here really quick.... the only thing holding the Tundra back from being a major player in the truck market is really the fact that it's built by a Japanese company. If this was the Ford Tundra or GM Tundra, chances are ALOT more of them would be sold.....The good ol boy mentality is really what is keeping this truck from being higher in the sales department.
The truck is a solid truck, and I still think it's the 2nd best built truck behind the Ram. What Toyota has built is a quality truck with some minor flaws. That's to be expected for a newcomer to the fullsize world.
